EXCERPT: (First Kiss)

"You know, I can tell you have nothing else on. The way that dress clings to your body, underwear would show. Are you tempting me, Camri?" 

Before she could object further, his mouth swooped over hers, capturing her lips in a masterful, scorching kiss. She froze in his grip. 

His tongue slipped between her teeth, teasing her own. He tasted of spearmint, filling her senses with a cool breeze. 

Jackson pulled her harder into his muscled chest, molding their hips together. His erection fit perfectly against her body. He made a small buck. 

Her breath caught in her throat. 

Why in the hell was he kissing her? And why had she let this continue this far?

Camri broke free from the rapturous embrace. She reared back to slap him. 

Jackson caught her wrist and dragged her back against his hard, lean frame. Sliding his hand around to the small of her back, he held on tight. Camri shivered as his breath whispered in the curve of her ear. 

"Ever since I knew you possessed an Ark card in your hot, little hands yesterday, I can't stop thinking about you at the hotel next week."  

 

"Well, get over it. Nothing will happen there, at least not between you and me." The vow sounded hollow even to her. 

A low growl echoed from his chest. He leaned forward to kiss her again.

Camri slipped out of his ravenous hold. She walked around the desk, knees wobbling, needing some distance between their heated bodies. 

Contriving to be causal, Camri began browsing her calendar. She needed a moment to compose her thoughts and get her heartbeat under control. She had to get a grip on her libido. 

"Don't ever do what you just did, again."
